Very well made and comfortable. Light but strong! I particularly love the deep pockets which easily hold my very large phone, and the adjustable belt which means my very large phone in a pocket doesn’t drag the trousers down my hips when I walk! And the secure zipped pocket inside the normal pocket on one side is genius. I can keep my keys in there without worrying that I’ll pull them out by accident.
These are long – I am 173cm and don’t normally have to take up trousers but I might need to hem these ones a bit shorter – but that is much better than having them too short.

Best trousers I’ve every owned! Comfortable, light, tough, good-looking, heaven for travel. I have just bought my second pair of Fast Track Longs (in case ESS stop making this model). My first pair are still going strong and are only 16 years young. I suspected a bit of fading – I had been wearing them as sun protection when snorkelling on a recent holiday and surely salt water plus equatorial sun on top of life under NZ’s UV conditions would cause damage. Well, just a slight bit of fading. Fabric just as strong as ever. Impressive.
