Highly recommended. I’ve had a couple for years which get used all the time, both as casual wear and in the outdoors. They’re light-weight, warm, comfortable and still look as good as new – my goto shirt in moderate temperatures (cool summer or warm winter days). Just bought another one for when the other two are in the washing basket.

Have to recommend this shirt, I’ve been putting it to the test in the outdoors and it still looks as good as new. It’s comfortable, breathable and quick to dry. It’s tough as and it looks like it will last for years.

A very well made top. Feels like it will last a long time and it’s great to wear a quality NZ-made product. This is definitely on the warmer and thicker side for a t-shirt so the other option if you want something lighter weight is to go for the light weight shirts from Earth Sea Sky. I have both!

I have couple of these that I have had almost since the start of time. While I love merino tops, these are light for the warmth and fast drying. I find them excellent for mountain biking and hiking. The fabric quality is a different level to most mass market thermals out there. Recommended.

Care

Warm wash
Mild detergent
Do not bleach, dry clean or iron.
Do not use fabric softener.
Fabric will be touch dry at the end of the washing cycle, any residual dampness will air dry.
Maybe tumble dried, cool setting only, for a very short time.
Fabric softeners reduce the moisture transfer and breathability properties of the fleece by coating the polyester fibres with a lubricant. They should be totally avoided.

Earth Sea Sky was formed in December 1990 when David teamed up with clothing designer, Sydney Mulligan. Between them they had more than 25 years experience in New Zealand’s outdoor clothing industry. This experience in design, production and sales was used to fill a growing need in the market for outdoor clothing that combined comfort, style and performance. David and Sydney introduced designs and colours that linked function and performance with great fit, attention to detail and fashion. Their first range of 20 garments included tramping jackets, oilskins, waterproof ski wear, 60/40 anorak windshells and Polartec thermal fleeces.

Since then, most of New Zealand’s outdoor clothing brands have taken their production offshore. Earth Sea Sky is committed to remaining New Zealand made. The Ellis family believes this is vital in maintaining the brand’s consistent quality and uniqueness.
