Care
Earth Sea Sky was formed in December 1990 when David teamed up with clothing designer, Sydney Mulligan. Between them they had more than 25 years experience in New Zealand’s outdoor clothing industry. This experience in design, production and sales was used to fill a growing need in the market for outdoor clothing that combined comfort, style and performance. David and Sydney introduced designs and colours that linked function and performance with great fit, attention to detail and fashion. Their first range of 20 garments included tramping jackets, oilskins, waterproof ski wear, 60/40 anorak windshells and Polartec thermal fleeces.
Since then, most of New Zealand’s outdoor clothing brands have taken their production offshore. Earth Sea Sky is committed to remaining New Zealand made. The Ellis family believes this is vital in maintaining the brand’s consistent quality and uniqueness.

Wore this for six days straight during a 6 day winter hunt near Twizel. Dried out really fast, was comfortable the whole time. The garment didn’t change shape or sag during the trip. Amazingly it actually didn’t smell that bad (I am shocked haha). Kept me really warm but allowed me to dump heat via the chest zip when climbing hills.
Massive fan of this so far – I think I may have finally found my perfect baselayer – thanks Mike + team.
I am just over 6″ with slightly longer arms than usual – the medium fit me around the shoulders/length but was a bit short on the arms. I went with a large which fit my longer arms perfectly.
Awesome.

An outstanding baselayer. I recently spent 7 days on an expedition trip through the Southern Alps, post holing through snow, high winds, tough challenging conditions. I literally didn’t take the Energy off once! The top is soft on the skin, very comfortable. The fabric seems to have some sort of magic which wicks the sweat away from your skin keeping you comfortable in tough climbs. Even after 6 days the Energy wasn’t smelling bad, I was impressed! I can’t fault it. An absolute must in your kit, especially in winter months. Order one!

I’m wearing this right now in my Dunedin flat writing this review. Another top quality product from Earth Sea Sky. I like how light it is whilst still being warm. The close fitting hood is great if you can’t be bothered putting a beanie on. It covers your ears and doesn’t block out your peripheral vision – handy if you’re wearing a helmet. It looks great and is a nice in-between layer when you want something to take the edge off the cold without becoming too hot.
