Vent X®
Our heavy duty Vent-X® over trouser fabric is ideal for anything from sub alpine bush-bashing to work wear. Vent-X® is a waterproof breathable nylon fabric that uses non-microporous hydrophilic polymer technology. The polymer coating is applied in a liquid form to the back of the base cloth allowing it to impregnate into the entire surface of the base cloth. This process obtains extremely high levels of adhesion which means the Vent-X® coating can be left exposed and unprotected on the inside without the fear of damage.
Our three-layer rip-stop nylon over-trousers are designed to be lightweight. The fabric is strong but it is susceptible to puncturing so some care is required to ensure they are not damaged during use. We recommend our Vent-X fabric if a more durable heavier duty option is required.
The outside surface of all our waterproof fabrics is treated with the highest water repellent specification we can obtain. This treatment prevents surface wetting and is critical for maximum breathability.
