The Pursuit is an updated version of our previous multi-sport jacket Traverse. The jacket’s new specification ripstop uses a 4-layer Entrant® fabric, chosen for its lightness, waterproofness, and high breathing properties. The outer surface is a low sheen nylon which achieves a better dirt and water repellent surface than matt equivalents. The double, front-zip flaps ensure a bombproof rain seal and the underarm design, total freedom of movement. The extended tail, pack-away hood, and reflective piping add to the versatility of the style for different outdoor activities. The bright colour options give you stand-out safety on-track, off-track, on the mountain or on the road.

Contoured cut streamlining to reduce wind flap noise.
Tuck-away hood with stiffened visor for extra face protection.
Hood has two adjustments - cinch cords on the sides to pull tight, and a hook/loop flap on the back for visibility adjustment.
Reflective piping across upper chest and back shoulder seam.
Single-handed elastic cinch cords on the hem with separate front and back adjustment.
Zip-up, hand-warmer pockets.
External zip-up chest pocket.
Generous stretch-out arm length with an adjustable elasticated cuff.
All seams are guaranteed a 3PSI waterproof rating test.

The Pursuit made it to Germany. It’s a fantastic jacket that I don’t want to be without. The jacket rides with me to work in the rain, comes with me when I go mushroom picking and is looking forward to snowshoeing soon. Only the double zip solution is a bit fiddly for me personally, but that’s complaining at a very high level. Great workmanship and a great fit. Thank you to ESS 😍

Earth Sea Sky was formed in December 1990 when David teamed up with clothing designer, Sydney Mulligan. Between them they had more than 25 years experience in New Zealand’s outdoor clothing industry. This experience in design, production and sales was used to fill a growing need in the market for outdoor clothing that combined comfort, style and performance. David and Sydney introduced designs and colours that linked function and performance with great fit, attention to detail and fashion. Their first range of 20 garments included tramping jackets, oilskins, waterproof ski wear, 60/40 anorak windshells and Polartec thermal fleeces.

Since then, most of New Zealand’s outdoor clothing brands have taken their production offshore. Earth Sea Sky is committed to remaining New Zealand made. The Ellis family believes this is vital in maintaining the brand’s consistent quality and uniqueness.
