I bought this after getting a couple of soakings with my previous light weight jacket even after reapplying coating. I’ve been walking in the South Island and lots on Mt Taranaki with this jacket and I’m super impressed. Fabric was stayed water proof even in some significant down pours that have been all day. Hood is excellent and you can really pull it in to keep the weather out, storm flap on the zips works well and the Velcro wrists sinch down really well. All in all the jacket does a really good job of keeping the weather out.
